ROWR!

People are like animals.  Three species in particular come to mind…zebras, leopards, and giraffes.  Colors really don’t change.  Whether or not you let them in your yard to play depends on which pattern you feel like seeing or dealing with that day.

Sometimes, I like the wild, rambunctious-ness of a zebra.  Frollicky and Spunky.  Sometimes, I feel like dealing with a leopard. Not really sure when he’s going to pounce and trying to outwit him.  And sometimes, I want to be with the quiet, docile giraffe.  Just hanging out, munching on the top tree leaves, and taking it all in.

At the end of the day, you get what you ask for.  If you hang out with zebras, you’re definitely going to be assumed a party animal.  If you hang out with leopards, be expected to have people think you’re dangerous. If you caper around with giraffes, people might mistake your silence and high head for arrogance.

There’s a reason, though, that we have spots, or stripes as it were.  Kind of a warning label of what you might be getting if you do decide to invite that playmate in your zoo for an afternoon.  It’s the ability to identify the RIGHT kind of spots for your family that is important.

I’m going to keep my gates shut.  I like my zoo like it is now and I don’t need any excitement right now. So, if you’re a python looking for a place to crash, I hear the neigbors down the road have a few bunnies that look pretty yummy.  😉
